Life at the Palazzo in Las Vegas is pretty chill (wish they had an affiliate program :( )… Their restaurant Lavo is off the hook, has a great lounge, and upstairs morphs into the hottest nightclub in town.

I can’t manage to sleep past 7-7:30am any day. So I’m up and quietly putting in time on the laptop. Getting more shit done by noon than most gonna do all day.

Melissa and Lesley wake up when they’re ready, order room service, and kick it in bed on MySpace LOL. We are a 100% Apple family — check the pic.

Then around 1PM we roll down to the pool, pop bottles of Veuve Clicquot, and work on the tans. This toddler straight up tried to steal the wifeys.

We bump into friends for dinner every night, pop more bottles and roll back to the crib late night.

Last night we ordered the movie “Step Brothers” and laughed our asses off… definitely check it out. We already rented it again this morning! Click here to read some of the quotes — Lesley been re-using their material quite a bit already. :)

UPDATE: 2008/10/29 – I disappear from the room for 15 minutes, and wifeys went ahead and rented “Step Brothers” a third time! LOL :)

UPDATE: 2008/11/20 – Umm… something must be wrong with me. We watched this movie 9 TIMES in hotel rooms!!

Been setting up the new MacBook Pro.  Configuring it the way I like it.  And was trying to figure out how to get Google Chrome and other Windows programs on there.  I searched Google for “google chrome osx” and found an interesting article about howto setup Google Chrome using Wine.  But its a lengthy process — and I have way too much ADD to get that done.

A few minutes later, I stumbled upon another link which suggests CrossOver Chromium is the easiest way to run the application.

And then I just happened to find that CrossOver is Free Today! The CEO made a public statement with some forward looking commentary, promising to give CrossOver away free if any came true. Well sure enough — gas came down to $2.79 — and he followed through on his offer.

Make sure to head over to CodeWeavers website and download a free copy of CrossOver today! Enjoy the power of Windows on your Mac!

I know its a little out of date already. But I held a crazy contest to join me and my friends and Party Like A Rockstar In Las Vegas! I never mentioned the retail value — but we straight up charged dudes $10,000 to join us. (A few of the hottest wifeys got in free LOL)

Kyle Jeske is a straight up, young (22 yo) man just getting started in life. He’s very smart — don’t underestimate. And he’s hungry and ready to take some risk. I love his attitude — totally identify with him — and wish him the best. He totally deserved this trip, and I think its safe to say that we showed him a party he will never forget!

Other notables in attendance:

  • software founder that sold his company for over a billion
  • dropout CEO that has raised $30MM
  • retired software CEO — done and paid
  • oil tycoon — super paid mofo
  • me — duh
  • and tons of sexy wifeys running around — thats worth another post!

Here’s a picture of Kyle surrounded by millionaires and hotties — at the hottest nightclub in Vegas — Lavo @ the new Palazzo tower. Not to blow up his spot, but he always seemed to have a lil sexy something by his side.

Good work, Kyle. And congrats once again!

You are going to PubCon in Vegas November 11-14, right??

Well be sure to signup for Dr. David Klein’s Purposeinc 2008 SEO Poker Tournament! (DK: why am I not on your mailing list?) I wanted to play last year. But I was busy running around with the wifey. Trying to get my networking up.

Shoemoney took 2nd last year and nabbed almost $2,000!

Okay — so I’m all signed up for the SEO poker tournament! And also for DK’s Fight Club too! Check it out.

I wanted to make it interesting. So I just texted my pro poker player buddy Shawn the Sheik. You may recognize him from WSOP, Heads Up Poker, High Stakes Poker. He’s actually playing at the Bellagio right this minute. This guy is always on the move — has a super busy schedule. But I talked him into showing up!

I’ve been an Apple convert ever since they switched to Intel. And I’m currently on my 2nd MacBook Pro. (Left the first one on the roof of my car and drove off like a dumb ass.) Lately, my current setup has started to feel a little sluggish.

I heard the new MacBook Pro arrived at stores just over a week ago. And when I saw it in person, I knew I needed to have it. But they don’t stock the laptop with the upgraded 2.8Ghz processor or the 128GB solid-state drive. :( Still the new MacBook Pro looked so sexy, I almost bought the configuration I didn’t want!

Anyways, somehow I managed to make it out of the store. And when I got home I configured it just how I wanted. A couple days later, I get a FedEx shipment notification. Check this — its coming from Shanghai!

Anyways, I’m barely holding it together. Can’t wait for my new setup. (Plus, then I’ll have an extra laptop handy — and my girl will stop interrupting my work to go on MySpace!)

I’ve been partying with my boy Julian for a while. Never asked him what he does. Never really cared. He’s always in a good mood and we laugh a lot. He’s always up to some prank. And keeps life fun. Well no fucking shit — I accidentally — totally — bumped into him last week while walking through the new Pallazzo resort attached to the Venetian in Las Vegas! Lesley ran up and gave him a kiss!

My buddy heard that I knew 2 things about the Internet. So we started talking.. and he quickly caught my interest. Apparently he’s been selling $MM of dollars worth of iPhone plush cell phone covers… check it out:

As a good friend would — I’ve been trying to hook him up with a good CPA Network — to help blow him up to the next level. I’m not involved. Just trying to help my buddy out. But today, I put calls into:

  • CX Digital
  • CPA Empire
  • GetAds.com
  • Hydra Network
  • Never Blue Media
  • Azoogle / Epic
  • Pepperjam
  • Shareasale
  • Ads4Dough
  • RevenueLoop
  • AdsMarket
  • PrimaryAds
  • COPEAC

CX responded almost immediately. And they pretty excited about the offer. Thinking I’m about to go exclusive… unless there’s somebody else I should be talking to… I trust you all to let me know.

I’ve been learning and attending conferences since I was 15 years old. I grew up in Las Vegas, NV — conference capital of the world. And started attending CES, Comdex, Networld+Interop, and DefCon with my friends at a young age. Check your calendars because one of the top marketing conferences Ad-Tech New York is coming to the Big Apple November 3rd-6th.

Many of my friends are going, there’s sure to be a ton of bad ass super affiliate types walking around. You may not recognize them — some of the top top affiliates try to fly under the radar. Wouldn’t want your niche to get discovered, right? A couple people from my new organization will be attending, incognito style — cuz we don’t give a shit:

I’ve never been hip on titles myself. Consider myself results oriented. I’m quite delighted to be the designated Bartender / Cabana Boy for the week.

Oh — and we have a bad ass poker game planned. Let me know if you want to get involved. I need some easy money. :)

And its not about the money…
I have personal accounts with plenty of cash in them.

But when I read Shoemoney and Neil Patel’s post about Founder’s Co-op, I clicked through and started thinking…

  • How much quicker could I bring my product to market?
  • How many mistakes could I avoid with their help?
  • How much better brand could I develop with their backing?

Founder’s Co-op is made up of an experienced group of entrepreneurs. Many times successful in their own right. I personally met Andy Liu and Neil Patel in San Francisco about 6 months ago at Elite Retreat. When they spoke, everyone listened. And now they are putting their money on the line, getting vested interests in helping startups succeed.

Anyways, I pitched them with the idea that I have been developing recently. And am looking forward to their response. Not so much for the money, although, I’d put it to good use. But to have such a solid team helping me along the way!

I travel a LOT.  In fact, during 2007 + 2008 — I’ve been on the road more than 50% of the time… but I’ll elaborate on those travels some other time.

Today, I’m in Newport Beach, enjoying the sun, visiting my uncle, and detoxing from a crazy week in Las Vegas.  Yeah — crazy.  So we’ve been running up and down the coast enjoying the Southern Cali weather.  Here’s a pic from my uncle’s back yard.  He’s literally right on the marina.  No need for air conditioning.  Just open the bay doors and enjoy the cool sea breeze!

Les hadn’t spent much time in Orange County, so we also ran down to Laguna Beach.  Laguna is super chill and relaxed.  Not much going on.  But that’s perfect for me right now.  I’ve had a super fast paced last couple months and it feels good to slow down…

My head is very clear now.  I loaded up my project managent software (BaseCamp) with almost 100 tasks.  And gonna use it to keep tabs on my new projects.  I’m feeling synergies from those around me.  The ball is moving.  Flywheel is starting to spin.  Things are trending in the right direction.  And I’m feeling good.

Nothing wrong with taking a little break every now and again.

Its important to regain some clarity, to stop and be honest with yourself, in order to achieve that which you really want out of life.
